Mother's Day 2013

Haley woke me up this morning, so excited that it was finally Mother's Day.  She had made me a picture early in the week & had been dying to give it to me.  She did very well keeping it hidden under her bed & keeping her secret with Daddy about the video they had made for me :)  Jon's present was a sweet video of  Haley answering questions about me, it was perfect.  I love them so!

Here is my lovely card.  Haley is still a little hung up on the excitement from Easter, hence the giant rainbow Easter egg in the middle of the picture with a bunny face above.  Also, I had to snap a pic of the back, I love how she always signs her name followed by a heart and a check.  Even when she does school work.

When it was time for Haley's morning swimming lessons, Jon backed the car out of the driveway & I saw this wonderful artwork :)

Little Sister & Little Brother

We finally had our 18 week ultrasound.  We couldn't wait to find out more about these babies growing inside of me.  Pretty much everyone guessed we're having a girl & a boy.  Personally, Jon, Haley & I all felt Baby A would be a girl & Baby B a boy, just because of what we'd seen of their personalities so far.  Sure enough, that's the way it worked out!

Here's our little girl, Baby A.  She's the active one, a little smaller than her brother approximately weighing 8oz.  She constantly had her hands covering her face.  She's a little lower in my uterus, so I always feel her kicking my bladder :)  

Here's our little boy, Baby B.  He's much more laid back, but I feel him more often because he's higher in my uterus, on my right side.  He weighs about 9oz & was much more cooperative than his sister during the ultrasound.   

We even got to see little sister kicking her brother through their sacs.  Sibling rivalry already!  Haley was thrilled, she was giggling & dancing & couldn't wait to tell everyone! We are so excited & can't wait to meet these little munchkins this Fall.

Back to the Farm

With the lovely, warm weather that Spring has brought, it was time to head to the farm.

First stop, Haley's favorite, the pony rides.

We fed some animals before climbing to the top of Hay Stack Mountain.

Striped

Today Haley got her first stripe on her Grey/White belt.  

 She was thrilled! She's been waiting for a stripe since she got her new belt 2 months ago :)

Little Mommy

While Jon was watching a basketball game, Haley came & joined him.  She totally ignored the game(like her mother would :)  & was soon humming & rocking away with her little baby.  Jon caught these sweet moments.

Baby Shane

Today we went over to Aunt Rose & Uncle Mike's house to meet their newest addition & Haley's newest cousin, Shane.  He is just an adorable little bundle of love & Haley was very proud to be able to hold him.

Jon & Haley's First Piano Duet

Jon & Haley have been taking piano lessons for about a month now.  It's really a class for kids, but it's very parent involved, so Jon is learning right along with her (he already did pretty good on his own, considering he's never had lessons).  Anyways, Jon decided to teach Haley how to play part of the song "Falling Slowly" with him and even though she only had one note, she did great & kept good timing.  I can't wait for future duets :)

12 Week Ultrasound

On the left is Baby A & on the right is Baby B.  Both look great, Baby A was much more active this ultrasound than Baby B, leading Jon to believe Baby A is a girl & Baby B is a boy.  I guess will find out if he's right in 6 more weeks :)

Proud Puzzler

 Before getting in the shower I put a puzzle on the floor for Haley, by the time I got out this is what I found. 

She was very proud that she finished putting it together before I got out :)

New Year's Eve

We went to Aunt Rose & Uncle Mike's house for an early New Year's Eve party.  It was mainly for the kids, so the balloon drop was around 8pm & then home for bed.

Aunt Rose made little goody bags for the kids.

Of course she included horns.

Ramona!

Jon & Haley's new bedtime routine includes reading chapters from the Ramona series.  They finished  Beezus and Ramona in just 6 nights.  Now they are reading Ramona the Pest.  I think they like the series so much because it reminds them of another certain little girl who's always in trouble ;)

 

Pool Shark

Haley has always wanted to play pool with Papa & finally about a week ago Papa decided he would try teaching her how to play.  She loves it!  She sits patiently listening to his critiques on how to hold the cue correctly & tries over & over to hit the ball just right.  She's so proud of herself.
